Kierra Amaral is a Native American artist who specializes in digital painting, character design, and digital sculpting with intense focus on presenting her characters’ personalities and their environments to the audience. She graduated from the University of South Florida in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, focusing on character design and animation. Her drive comes from being inspired by popular animated films created by studios such as Pixar and DreamWorks, and the works of professional animators, artists, and /or visionaries like Tim Burton, Don Bluth, and Walt Disney. She started drawing at a very young age, after being taught by her sister and mother. From there, she took great interest in sharing her imagination with those around her.
Her family is a big motivation in her life, and they are the foundation of her enthusiasm to succeed at her goals. Many times, they are even used as the inspiration for her characters. She describes her art style as lively, colorful, cartoonish, and detailed. Her work has been displayed at the Newport Art Museum: Imago Exhibition and the 2018 -2019 Art Exhibitions held at the Community College of Rhode Island. She connects to the art community through various art groups and by sharing artistic interests and tips with others who enjoy art as much as she does.
